AMS 401.40 33" Plated Step Probe with Handle

The AMS Step Probe is the fastest and easiest way to take soil samples as deep as 14" from turf, parks, golf courses or yards. Just apply pressure on the probe by stepping down on the fixed step in order to obtain a 7/8" diameter sample.

These nickel-plated probes are available as either a one-piece or as a two-piece probe. Both offer a 10" comfortably gripped cross handle, but the cross handles on the two-piece models are detachable with a 5/8" threaded connection and a 1" OD. Both are made of heavy wall type 4130 chrome molybdenum steel with hardened tips that cut a soil core 1/2" diameter by about 12" long.
