Square braid construction. Highest quality long line flax Fibers Oakum impregnated withTFE dispersion and a special break-in oil. Recommended for reciprocating androtating shafts, stern tube packing. Paper mill applications are Jordans, claflins,hydrofiners and stock pumps. Recommended for brine, cold water and cold oil.For speeds to 1885 FPM; temperatures to 220F/104C; PV factor 175,000; pHrange 5-9. TFE impregnant acts as:
- a surface leveler filling any surface voids
- a saturant to prevent wicking
- a lubricant to reduce friction and heat and
- a protective shield around the flax Fibers Oakum, preventing fluid penetration and fiber break down.
An excellent paper stockpacking. Use wherever product discoloration must be prevented, such as in the food and bleached paper industries.
